This Just In

In a desperate and self-aggrandizing move, Pam Ferguson, a.k.a. "grace of the willful sort", has thrown her full and unabashed support and strategic and timely endorsement to Hillary Clinton.

I realize the momentum of my readership (12 of you) will be disappointed in one way (the Obama way), while the remainder of you (6 readers) will conclude that I've officially slipped into the outer recesses of liberal, pinko, socialistic, baby-killing, marry your dog, hell.

I just felt it was time to take a stand. :)

And thank you to the 4 of you who are with me on this one.

Sure, I have my political views but IMO there are more important things for me to take a stand on. In the words of Martin Luther:

That word above all earthly powers, no thanks to them, abideth;
The Spirit and the gifts are ours through Him Who with us sideth:
Let goods and kindred go, this mortal life also;
The body they may kill: God’s truth abideth still,
His kingdom is forever!

I'm just happy you're voting Democratic. It's great that there are two Democratic candidates that are inspiring voters and attracting interest in the election.

I still hoping for a Clinton-Obama or Obama-Clinton ticket. Stranger things have happened.

You forgot about those of us that will simply say, "That's nice. Got any cookies?" ;)

I already voted in the Florida primary, and I voted for Hillary. This is a huge deal for me, since my whole life I've voted Republican (like all the fundamentalists I formerly hung out with). Now that I've seen the light, I registered Democrat with the intention of being able to vote for Hillary R. Clinton!

Now, I must say to Norm - good point! We have two strong candidates, and my hope is for HC, even though I've been "corrected" by more than one person on why I need to vote for Obama.

Pomo: LOL (and yet, i realize you're not kidding) still...LOL

MR: Glad you're hanging around and we are "officially" friends on facebook! I do agree with your comment....by "taking a stand" I really just mean I've decided who I'd like to see as president. I figured some people who read here were probably curious about it.

Norm!: Yep, I usually do vote Democrat, actually. I did vote for Bush the FIRST time...like almost all Texans, so maybe that doesn't count as much????

Jarred: Yes, I did leave out the 2 of you who are happy with your cookies. I still think you ought to vote....pretty please??

Carol: Go the "fundamentalist-turned-Democrat". woo hoo! ;)

Well, I'm a registered Rep, but I may just vote Democratic this time if Hillary gets the nomination. Of all the three major candidates left (Hillary, Obama, and McCain), I almost hate to admit that I think Hillary would be best for the job. The more I hear her the more I like her and the more I think she'd actually get the most accomplished.

I also sort of like the idea of us having our first female president.

With you on this one, Pam. :)
