He lived in China for 13 years, and has traveled the world over, so he's full up to the brim with intriguing stories. He speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and teaches a few martial arts classes a week. For our first meeting we ate Chinese food and visited a big Asian market in Oklahoma City. It was fun. Fun. Fun. Fun.
And that's all I have to say about that. For now.
OH....and right now it no longer sucks to be me! Funny how that works.

I'm glad the two of you had a lovely time! Let's hope things continue to follow such an upbeat trend.

Thanks Jarred! Yes....upbeat is WAY better an suckage!
You're so coy. I'm so happy for you. That made my day.
Awesome that you had a great time, and I hope there will be many many more!
Praying for you!
Thanks Norm!
Mark...I do appreciate the prayers!
My kid woke me up at 5:45 am. Then as I was carrying him back to bed, I tripped on the stairs. Well nobody got hurt, but the kid got so excited as a result of this catastrophe narrowly averted that he wouldn't go back to sleep, and I ended up watching Noggin with him for an hour and a half.
And I said a bad word. It just slipped out as I was careening through the darkness, and now all day long the kid's been telling anybody who will listen "Daddy Kurt said a bad word."
And of course they all ask him "Well, what word was that?" Which, OK, if you're foolish enough to ask a five year old that question at Sunday Mass, I don't feel I should be held responsible for the answer you're gonna get.
But I guess I can still find it in my heart to be happy for you, Pam.
Kurt,
Too funny! Reminds me of Daniel when he was not quite 3 and playing with his little peg and hammer set...he missed his hand and yelled out "gammit!" while our preacher was over for a visit.
